Jen Saunders has always been extremely private and while this is by no means a tell-all book, it does give a lot of insight into what my favorite comic was (or was not, as was often the case) thinking. Funny, sweet and with nothing bad to say about anyone ( how refreshing!) this is a fun, easy read that will give you a little bit more insight into F&S. Do not expect a nice, linear timeline. This book jumps all over the place, much like a comedy bit. Just sit back and enjoy.

Jennifer Saunders is amazing in every aspect, this is an amazing collection for fans of her work. It covers French and Saunders, Girls On Top, AbFab, and Jam and Jerusalem. It's full of insights, personal stories, and hilarious situations. I highly recommend it for anyone, even if all they know her from is the voice of the Fairy Mother on Shrek.
Not many people can turn their life into entertaining reading, especially when it hasn't been all that dramatic. But it's interesting, entertaining and funny.
Well written and humorous autobiography made even better because it was read by the author. Jennifer Saunders' slightly skewed take on life and its peculiarities come through loud and clear and it felt like she was talking directly to the listener rather than simply mouthing the text.
Make sure you are not attempting to drink a beverage while reading Saunders' auto-bio. If you enjoyed the anecdotal writing of Carrie Fisher or Tina Fey then this book is right up your funny bone. Delightful and at times sentimental, Saunders takes us on a whirlwind tour of her talents.
It is funny and inspiring. Who ever said women can't be funny is "Bonkers". The world is a better place with Saunders (and Dawn French) in it.
Having read this book I now feel like Jen and I could be the best of friends. A very intimate and entertaining read. Along with "Dear Fatty" by Dawn French these books are my all time favourite autobiographies. Can't wait for the Absolutely Fabulous movie! And yes Jen there has to be one.... think of your fans!
I am not big in biographies - I am an Italian guy in dubai who reads mostly fiction but when I saw this at the shop I thought I would look into it. Not only it was entertains, extremely funny, well written, captivating but it portrays the a beautiful, authentic person who kept her feet solidly on the ground despite one of the persons who actually SHAPED modern culture -!yet again she doesn’t flaunt it at all. God bless you Jennifer Saunders the world needs more people like you xxx
I LOVE THIS WOMAN! I'm a bit late to the party but I love Jennifer Saunders! My journey is a little different from most, starting with Shrek 2, talk show videos, AbFab outtakes, the series, and then the movie. Who else can create two of the most annoying, selfish characters in Edina and Patsy and have the world fall in love with them? This book gives us a peek into that shy but brilliant mind. I know audiences can be perceived as hungry chicks with ever-opened beaks crying, "more, more!" But, dammit! She started it!! More, please or we'll sic the ghost of Miss Dines on you!! In the meantime, here's hoping for another book, more AbFab, and maybe - just maybe - hooking up and starring at our desserts all night together!! 😁
